🏆 NCEL Premier Division

Bottesford Town made it two league wins in a row with a 3–2 victory away at Horbury Town, as Leigh Herrick’s side continued to build momentum in the NCEL Premier Division.

Okera Simmonds, making his fourth appearance for the club, opened the scoring after a dangerous cross from Blake Gregory, before doubling the lead with a superb free kick.

James Cusworth pulled one back for Horbury with a great volley, but Jaxon Borland made it 3–1 after capitalising on a goalkeeping mistake. Cusworth struck again deep into stoppage time to make it 3–2, but Bottesford held firm to secure the win.

Late on, there were two red cards shown — one for an attempted headbutt on Aris Cunha and another for the retaliation that followed.

It’s a second straight league victory for Herrick’s men — a sign that the tide of the season may finally be turning.
